Snow, ice and permafrost conditions are globally changing much faster than anticipated. This will profoundly change living conditions in the Arctic and also living conditions throughout the World. An event with the participation of the Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moeller, Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Stoere, former US Vice President Al Gore and Greenland Premier Kuupik Kleist.

The Botanic Garden - International Climate Exhibition - CLIMATE CHANGE

The exhibition represents the Scientific view on climate and climate change and is based on research results of the last decades. By means of objects, film, photoes, animations and texts this complicated subject will be illustrated and presented in a lively and accessible way.
The Centre for Ice and Climate has contributed to the exhibition with scientific expertise

The exhibition runs until Sunday the 28th February 2010.

CLIMATE exhibition. Here you can see the complete shallow drill constructed at the Niels Bohr Institute in 1976. The drill is exhibited with an icecore sample and an original Nansen sledge.
The exhibition runs until 07. March 2010 but the exhibited items can be seen only until end of the year 2009.

The shallow drill is used in the upper 350 m of ice and when drilling liquid is not necessary.
